Farewell from Everyone at New Highway
Unfortunately it’s with much sadness and following a review of our options, The Board of Trustees have taken the difficult decision to wind down our charitable activities and it’s our intention to cease to operate by the end of this year.
This has been a hard decision but following the loss of the contract we operated across Wiltshire as a result of a complete redesign and retender, it’s now no longer viable for us to continue operation. Like many other charities and smaller providers being squessed, we are caught up in the reshaping and changes involving Health & Social Care Services across the country.
We have been a committed and hard working charity working across both Bath & Wiltshire for over 27 years, originally as BADAS and latterly as New Highway and we are proud of our achievements and our obligations and association to all those affected by addiction
Whilst we welcome and value change; we believe the loss of many local service providers working for the greater good of local communities is a mistake and is detrimental to the governments’ localism agenda.
We are proud of what we have achieved, we are proud of what our services users have achieved and we are proud of all the committed work undertaken by all our employees and volunteers over the years. The many charitable objectives and initiatives we have achieved and delivered on has helped many on the road to recovery, and we wish all continued success for the future.
We believe that everyone has the potential for positive and lasting change.
Kind regards
